Decorah- The funeral of Gjermund E. Haugen, 51, who died Sunday evening, will be held Wednesday afternoon. Services will be held in the home at 1 o'clock and in Springfield Lutheran church at 2 o'clock.

The Rev. Hendrickson will officiate and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Haugen had been in poor health for the last five years. He died at his farm home in Springfield township.

Mr. Haugen was born May 7, 1883 in Springfield township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Even Haugen. His entire life was spent on the farm where he was born. In 1914 he married Miss Dina Danielson, who died six years ago.

Eleven children blessed their marriage, three of whom died in infancy. Those who survive are: Mrs. Andrew Splide of Springfield township; Mrs. Orval Bergan and Miss Genevieve Haugen, both of Decorah; Esther, Marion, Even, Vernon and DeLores, all at home. Two brothers, Gust and Nels Haugen, both of Decorah, and one sister, Mabel Haugen, also survive. His sister kept house for him and looked after the children since the death of Mrs. Haugen.
