Calmar- Funeral services for Joseph Goetkin, 93, who died at St. Joseph's sanitarium, Dubuque, Sunday, were held at St. Aloysius' church, Calmar, Tuesday morning. The Rev. P. J. Friedman, pastor, offered the mass of requiem and burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Goetkin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Goetkin, was born in Ft. Atkinson, on March 25, 1853, and was married to Catherine Fasen in 1874.
Mr. Goetkin was a railroad man and lived in Calmar nearly 50 years. He went to Dubuque to live with his daughter, Mrs. Josephine Folsom, in April.
Surviving besides his daughter are a stepson, Matt Meaden, Marshall, Minn., 30 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife, two children, and three stepchildren.
