Mrs. Sam Waters, Jr., passed away Sunday, March 7th, after a week’s illness from pneumonia. Everything that medical skill and the loving hands could do proved of no avail. Dr. Kessell of Cresco was called in consultation Thursday with Dr. Kelleher of Postville and a trained nurse, Mrs. Iverson of Decorah, has been constantly at her bedside and on Saturday another nurse was called to assist her but God willed it other ways and called her home. We are without further particulars as the date for the funeral has not been set as they are waiting to hear from relatives from away.

She is resting, sweetly restingThere in calm repose
After journeying thru the worldWith all its cares and woes.
The word of God she dearly lovedAnd often knelt in prayer
And now she's going to see her faceAnd know no pain or care
Parting words shall not be spokenIn that bright land above
But with out loved, we shall dwellWith Him whose name is love.
