Richard Klouda was born October 19, 1944, to Milo and Lillian (Aakre) Klouda, a young farm boy from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Richard was usually suspected of being the real Superman. He spent his formative years in the Air Force, serving in places such as Turkey, Iceland, Australia, Montana, and earned the status of Vietnam Veteran.
