Funeral services for Edward J. Overland, 79, were held Monday, November 25, 1968 at 2:00 p.m. at First Lutheran church, Decorah. Mr. Overland passed away Friday, November 22, 1968 at Smith Memorial hospital.

Mr. Overland had farmed in Fillmore county and lived in Postville and Monona before moving to Decorah in 1941. He was a former Decorah farm equipment salesman.

Survivors include his wife, four children, James Overland, Postville; Robert Overland, Decorah; Ernest Overland, Omaha, Nebraska and Mrs. E. V. (Geneva) Schuyler of St. Louis, Missouri, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The Rev. John M. Ness conducted the services. Burial was in the Phelps Cemetery, Decorah.
