Decorah- Funeral services for John Wheatman, 74, will be held Wednesday at Steine funeral home at 1:30 p.m. and at the Methodist church at 2. Rev. Floyd H. Weed will officiate and burial will be made in Phelps cemetery.

Mr. Wheatman died Sunday at his farm home near Decorah. Born Feb. 22, 1877, in Calmar township, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wheatman, early pioneers. In 1899, at the Methodist parsonage in Decorah, he was married to Miss Anna Klema. Surviving are his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Edwin Gross, Calmar, and his brothers Richard and Almond Wheatman, Decorah.
