Postville Herald, Wed., 7 Mar. 1945. Frankville column.

Mrs. Nellie Spaun received word of the death of her brother-in-law, George Bovenizer, 82, who lived alone in Waterloo. According to a Waterloo newspaper, he died on Monday, Feb. 2_ (looks like 26 or 28), apparently after shoveling snow. Mr. Bovenizer was married to Miss Ada Van Wey of Frankville, March 4, 1885. They made their home here where he operated a general merchandise store until 1905, when he sold out to John Van Wey and moved to Waterloo, where Mrs. Bovenizer passed away in 1914. He was born in Indiana on July 13, 1862. Besides two nieces and a nephew in Waterloo, he is survived by several cousins here in the Letchford family, his mother having been a sister of Mrs. John Letchford, the pioneers wife.
