Burr Oak- George R. Emery, 80, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, at a Decorah hospital following eight days illness after a heart attack. Funeral services were to be conducted Friday from the Olson-Iverson Funeral Home in Decorah and at Burr Oak Methodist Church, the Revs. Irving and Emma Arnold officiating. Burial was to be in the village cemetery.

He was born Feb. 21, 1869, in Bluffton township, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Emery. He never married.

Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Aaron Emery and Mrs. Mary Olson, Burr Oak; Omri Emery, Mason City, and Mrs. Enice Delay, Davenport.
