Services Held For B. Schweinefuss

Final rites were held Friday, June 30, for Bernice Schweinefuss, 72, Frankville, at the Frankville Presbyterian Church at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Roger Hawthorne officiating. Burial was in the Frankville Cemetery.

Bernice Olive Allen was born Jan. 16, 1906, the daughter of George and Elsie (Duff) Allen. She attended area schools. Jan. 17, 1923 she was united in marriage with Henry (Heinie) F. Schweinefuss.

They farmed in the area and for a while ran the Frankville Telephone Company and a feed mill. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1974.

She was a member of the Frankville Community Presbyterian Church and its United Presbyterian Women. She died Wednesday, June 28, 1978 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Postville.

She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. George (Blanche) Hougen, Brownsville, Minn.; Mrs. Reuben (June) Monroe, Waukon; Mabel Vine and Geneva Ruen, Decorah; a brother, Leslie (Bud) Allen of Frankville, and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard, and a sister, Mrs. Clifford (Jerriene) Hughes.
