ANDERSON, GUDVANGEN, BELL

Decorah, Ia., Nov. 7 - Ragnilda Gudvangen Anderson died in her home in Freeport Wednesday at the advanced age of 83.

She was born in Gudvangen, Norway, Jan. 3, 1847. Her father, Peder Gudvangen, died in 1857, and her mother, Onea Gudvangen, immigrated with her three daughters and two sons to America, locating first in Dane county, Wis. They moved to Iowa in 1860 and [in] 1879 Mrs. Gudvangen married Knute Oli Anderson, of Freeport.

Two sons, Alfred and Henry, were born to this union. Mr. Anderson died in 1926.

Besides the two sons, Alfred Anderson, in Freeport, and Henry Anderson, in Strool, S.D., the deceased is survived by a sister, Ingrid Bell, who is employed in the Soldiers' Home, in Minneapolis, as well as three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The funeral was held in Free port Friday afternoon. Services were held at 2 p.m. with burial in the Freeport churchyard. Rev. O. Glesne officiated at the church as well as at the grave.
