Graveside services were held Wednesday, December 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the Frankville Cemetery for Elma Lula Meeker, who died December 15 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, Winterset. The Rev. Roger Hawthorne officiated.

She was born November 10, 1891 in Winneshiek County, the daughter of Nelson and Mary Schoolmaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter in infancy, four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include a son Kenneth Meeker, Cedar Rapids and a daughter Mrs. R. L. (Lois) Fleming of Murray, Iowa.

(NOTE: See the obits of Della Schoonmaker died 1944 and Leona Snyder died 1961 on this obit board. Elma is thought to be shown as Ehnie Schoomaker on the 1900 Fed Cen. of Frankville Twp., Winn. Co., Iowa. Also shown as Elmie Schoomaker on the 1910 Fed. Cen. of Franklin Twp., Winn. Co., Iowa. Schoonmaker is thought to be her real maiden name. More research is needed.)
