DIED.

LIBBEY.—In Orleans, Winneshiek Co. Iowa, January 3, 1892, Luther S. Libbey, aged 66 years 10 months and 5 days.

He had been gradually failing for a number of years, but kept around until the Sunday before his death. He has left a wife of nearly forty years, a son and two daughters, two brothers and five sisters to mourn, but not as those who have no hope. The sum of his and his brothers and sisters ages at the time of his death was 507 years 2 months and 12 days, he being the first one taken, except an infant, many years ago.

A kind and loving husband and father is gone and the bereaved have the sympathy of the community, but none but God can heal the wound which this dispensation of His providence has caused.

“A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be filled. COM.
