Albert Roy Campbell, son of Hamilton and Abbie Angier Campbell, was born in Bloomfield township, Winneshiek county, Iowa, on April 16, 1883, and died at the age of 80 years, six months and 29 days.
He passed away at the Community Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 15, 1963.
Roy attended rural schools and Valders Business College at Decorah.
On April 12, 1905, Roy Campbell was married to Janet Caldow at Decorah. They had no family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Walter.
Roy Campbell is survived by his wife; one sister, Miss Lulu Campbell of Decorah; and a niece, Carolyn Jacobson of Phoenix, Arizona.
He was a 50 year member of the Order of Odd Fellows and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Postville.
Roy spent most of his life farming in Bloomfield township.
Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Masonic services were conducted by Ray Douglass at the grave. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
