Decorah- Nels "Nick" Bakken, 68, died Saturday night, Sept. 16, 1995, in Green Lea Manor Nursing Home, Mabel, Minn., after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, First Lutheran Church. Burial: Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Fjelstul Funeral home and after noon Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; four daughters, Sandra Dotzler and Dianne Dotzler, both of Belvidere, Ill., and Becky McLeish and Mary Ann Peterson, both of Springville; six sons, Robert of Belvidere, Ill., and Reginald, Randall, Keith, Thomas and Richard, all of Decorah; and a brother, Robert of Marion.
