Decorah- Paul T. "Bill" Mears, 73, a salesman for Knit Products Inc. of Belmont, N.C., died Wednesday in Barthell Eastern Star Nursing Home following a long illness. Surviving are his wife, Betty; two daughters, Dulcy Schroeder of Menlo Park, Calif., and Rebecca Tyrrell of Olalla, Wash.; two sisters, Jessie Teal of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Vangie Reynolds of Charlotte, N.C.; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Fjelstul's. Burial: Phelps Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
