Mr. John Driggs, who has been suffering from a complication of troubles, died on Monday morning, at his farm home in this town, and on Tuesday was laid to rest in the cemetery at Decorah. He was an energetic man of the most pronounced type, and yet has really been an invalid for the past twenty-five years. A good citizen and an honest, out spoken man has gone.

Transcriber's Note: Phelps cemetery records show Mr. Driggs was born February 23, 1827 and died October 21, 1889.
