Mrs. LEROY A. (Clara Edith Burrows) DEAN

Funeral services were held at the E. U. B. Church Monday, in Castalia, for Mrs. Clara Edith Dean, 74, who passed away at her home in Castalia following a heart attack. She has been in ailing health the past year. The rites were in charge of Rev. H. C. Snow with burial in the Centennial Cemetery.

Clara Edith Dean was born the daughter of Florence Smead Burrows and David J. Burrows at Frankville on May 28, 1876. She passed away at her home December 1, 1950.

She married LeRoy A. Dean at Decorah October 1, 1896 and to this union was born one daughter, Dorothy. The couple moved to Alberta, Canada in 1908 and lived there until 1920. The spent several years in Portland, Oregon before returning to Iowa.

Mrs. Dean is survived by her husband, her daughter, Dorothy, Mrs. C. B. Shopp of Castalia and by a nephew, Harold Harvey of Ossian. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Lela Harvey, and a brother, Claude Burrows.

Chapter of the Eastern Star held special services and were in charge of the flowers.
