Larry Ihde

Funeral services for Larry F. Ihde were held Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1982 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. The Rev. Julius L. Peterson officiated with Rev. David R. Nelson assisting. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Larry Frederich Ihde, son of Lewis and Laura (Schnuelle) Ihde, was born June 11, 1940 on a farm in Bloomfield Township, Winneshiek County, Iowa. He died Saturday at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wis. as the result of an injury received while working on the home farm.

He graduated from South Winneshiek High School in 1960. On Sept. 16, 1967 he was married to Elaine Simerson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. Two children were born to this union. They farmed until 1975 when he was employed by Norplex in Postville.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence, in infancy.

Surviving besides his wife, Elaine, are a daughter, Susan and a son, Rodney, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ihde of Monona, a sister, Mrs. Orville (Rosalia) Ehde of Waukon, a brother, Leslie and a sister, Mrs. Duane (Helen) Ruroden, both of Monona.
