Decorah- Helen M. Beaty, 89, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, in the Barthell Easter Star Home, Decorah, following an extended illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Benedict's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Robert Hirsch, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, Decorah, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and where a Scripture service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friends may also call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Beaty of Bluffton, S.C.; and a son, John of Greensburg, pa.
