Maxwell Price-Hughes, 17, of Frankville, Iowa died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse, Wisconsin. Maxwell Lavell, the son of Reggie Price and Kassie Hughes, was born January 16, 1997 in Lawrence, Kansas.
Maxwell attended Postville High School and would have been a senior this fall. He worked for Shopko in Waukon and Fenholtz Construction in Decorah. Max was very active in school. He participated in football, wrestling, baseball, band, and the FFA. He was also a member of 4H. Max enjoyed stock car racing, fishing, hunting, being outdoors, dirt bikes and four wheelers. Max enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
Max is survived by his mother, Kassie (Mike Foltz) Hughes of Ossian; his grandfather, Barry Hughes of Postville; his great grandmother, Dolores Hughes of Frankville; his uncle, Tim Kochanski of Washington, D.C.; and his aunt, Andrea (Dan) Krause of Pardyville, WI; and two cousins, Hannah and Gage.
Max was preceded in death by his father, Reggie Price and his grandmother, Marsha Hughes.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 4-7 pm at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Postville, Iowa and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Frankville Community Presbyterian Church in Frankville, Iowa with Rev. Gary Catterson as the Officiant.
Burial to follow at the Frankville Cemetery, Frankville, Iowa.
