Mary Lou Jacobson, 65, of Toddville, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the Schluter - Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, Iowa with Rev. Nancy Solomonson presiding.

Friends may call from: 10:00-11:00 am Thursday at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hauge Cemetery, rural Decorah, Iowa.

Mary Lou Quandahl was born October 27, 1947 in Decorah, Iowa the daughter of Levi and Myrtle (Wold) Quandahl. She attended and graduated from the Decorah High School in 1966. On February 18, 1967 she married Rodney E. Jacobson in Decorah, Iowa. Mary Lou had worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching NASCAR making crafts and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew her.

Mary Lou’s survivors include her husband, Rodney Jacobson, Toddville, IA. One daughter: Ronda (Daniel) deNeui, Toddville, IA. One son: Loren (Lisa Graveman) Jacobson, Independence, IA. Grandchildren, Nicole (Jon) Avery of Hiawatha, Brendan (Tonya Bartosh) Jacobson of Cedar Rapids, Heather Swails of Cedar Rapids and Lizzy Jacobson of Independence; Great Grandchildren, Skylar, Mackenzie, Lailah, Elijah and Hadley.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles.
