Renee Ann Smith, 37, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, of an apparent heart attack.

Private family services will take place with the Rev. Del Bear officiating.

There will be no visitation. The Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion is handling arrangements.

Survivors include her parents, Kenny Engbretson and Dorothy Losey; two sons, Kenneth and John; a brother, Randy Engbretson and a paternal grandmother, Eva Engbretson.

Also surviving are a special friend, Jeff Welton; and may aunts, uncles and cousins.

Renee was born Nov. 25, 1960 in Decorah, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Hovden) Engbretson.
