Funeral services for Mrs. Stanton J. Erickson, 76, of 606 East Broadway, Decorah, were held Saturday, June 8, at 2 p.m.in the Hauge Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Erickson, a housewife, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the Smith Memorial Hospital.

The Rev. Dolliver Thogerson conducted the services. Burial was in the church cemetery with the Steine Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers for the service were Arlin Hanson, Merlin Hanson, Charles Vine, Vernon Vine, Truman Kirkeby and Arthur Erickson.

Organist for the service was Miss Diane Stortz. The soloist was Mrs. George Rowland. Members of the floral committee were Mrs. George McArthur and Mrs. Gary Hall.

Julia A. Haugen, the daughter of O.A.P. and Karen Haugen, was born Aug. 6, 1891, in Canoe Township. She attended the rural schools.

On May 12, 1915, she was united in marriage to Stanton Erickson in the Hauge Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, three children, Stanton E. Erickson, Decorah; Mrs. Glenn (Kathaleen) Larson, Pleasant Township; and Mrs. Jon (Shirley) Vine, Freeport. A total of 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive.

Other survivors include six brothers; Carl Haugen, Seattle, Wash.; Albert Haugen, Long Beach, Calif.; Alvin Haugen, Los Angeles; Arnold Haugen, Ames; Harry and Edwin Haugen, both of Decorah. Also surviving are four sisters; Mrs. Emil Brown, Eland, Wis.; Mrs. Bessie Johnson, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Mrs. Florence Willman, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Fredrick Lau, Shorewood Park, Wis.

Her parents and four brothers preceded her in death.

She had always lived in Winneshiek County, moving to Decorah in 1956. In addition, she was a member of the Hauge Lutheran Church, and was a lifetime member of the Lois Circle of the Ladies Aid.
