Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 3, for Kathleen G. Larson, 68, of Decorah.

Pastor Gerhard Brase conducted the services at 11 a.m. at Hauge Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Organist was Mrs. Ransome Bolson and harmonicist was Lloyd W. Klotz, accompanying congregational singing.

Pallbearers were Arthur Erickson, Darrell Ferguson, Michael Hall, Chris Haugen, Chris Larson and Steve McArthur. Honorary pallbearers were Troy Fadness, Travis Fadness, Cory Quandahl and John Quandahl.

Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah was in charge of arrangements.

Kathleen Erickson was born Jan. 18, 1919 in Pleasant Township, the daughter of Stanton J. and Julia (Haugen) Erickson. She graduated from Decorah High School and married O. Glen Larson April 30, 1939, at Hauge Lutheran Church.

She taught rural schools in Winneshiek County and had worked as head cook at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah for several years.

She was a member of Hauge Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Church Council, superintendent of Sunday school and taught Sunday school and church choir. She also held other offices within the church, and was on the board of directors of the Depot Outlet. She died July 30 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

She is survived by her husband Glen of Decorah, and eight children, Mary Jane (Mrs. George) McArthur of Decorah, Glen Jr. of Poulsbo, Wash., Norma (Mrs. Gary) Hall of Decorah; Karen (Mrs. Michael) Meyer of Hawaii, Kenneth of Decorah, Patricia Carlson of Rochester, Minn., Arnold of Decorah, and Theresa (Mrs. Tom) Anderson II of Des Moines.

Also surviving are her 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, Stanton E. Erickson of Decorah, and a sister, Shirley Ann (Mrs. Jon) Vine of Decorah.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter-in-law.
