Frederick, Scott Edward 1981 - 2007

Scott Edward Frederick, 25, died at his home on June 18, 2007 in Muscatine.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 23, at Emmanuel-St. John Lutheran Church in Lytton with Rev. Wayne Pfannkuch officiating. Burial will be at Cory Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Scott was born in Sac City, Oct. 26, 1981, to James and Janis (Erickson) Frederick. In 1989 his family moved to Decorah. He was baptized at the Methodist Church and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Decorah. Scott graduated from the Thomas Roberts High School with the class of 2000. As a student he enjoyed playing Jr. High Football and attending the Lutheran Youth Group at church. He was a big "Cubs" and Philadelphia Eagles Football Fan, loved playing a round of golf with his family and friends, going to concerts, and especially loved family gatherings and teasing his nieces and nephews.

He started working at the K & S Super Value and Fareway Grocery Store while he was still in high school. Following graduation he began the management trainee program at Fareway and was working at the Fareway Store in Muscatine at the time of his death. He made many friends at work and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents: Jim and Jan Frederick of Sac City; his son Bradley of Decorah; his two sisters and brothers: Lory Penniman and her husband Mike of Sac City; Mike Frederick and his wife Sarah of Spencer; Kevin Frederick and his wife Stephanie of Sac City; and Mindy Frederick of Johnston. Other survivors include his grandparents: Wayland and Delores Frederick of Strawberry Point; eight nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles; and extended family members.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art and Evelyn Erickson.
