Kenneth M. Grindeland, Highland Township farmer, died Monday, Oct. 6 at the Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wis. He was 63.
Funeral services for Mr. Grindeland will be conducted today (Thursday, Oct. 9) at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Gerhard Brase. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the following pallbearers: Everet Sollien, Norman Casterton, Donald Stoskopf, Tilford Invalson and Stanley Fawcett.
Mr. Grindeland was a member of the St. John’s Church Council and the other members of the group will be honorary pallbearers.
Music will be furnished by Mrs. Ransome Bolson, organist and Clayton Wagness, soloist.
Arrangements are being made by Steine Funeral Home.Kenneth M. Grindeland was born Dec.2, 1916 in Mabel, Minn. To Bennie and Mary Grindeland of Highland Township. He attended rural schools.
He was married Feb. 7, 1940 to Edna M. Wendling in ceremonies at the family home. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Joanne) Helland, Cedar Falls, Mrs. William (Karen) Brown, Decorah and Mrs. Thomas (Linda) Johnson, Des Moines; seven grandchildren; one brother, Berdell Grindeland of Minneapolis and two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Iona) Finholt, Decorah and Mrs. William (Orabell) Hall, Decorah.
His father, one grandchild and two brothers preceded him in death.
