Edward J. Kuhn, of Winona, Minn., made his journey to heaven surrounded by his loving family Jan. 9, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The Reverend Monsignor Richard M. Colletti will officiate. Ed will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home Thursday, Jan. 16, from 4-6 p.m., where a Christian wake service is at 6 p.m. There will not be any visitation Friday; please meet at the Cathedral for Mass. Online condolences or memories may be left for Ed's family at watkowski-mulyck.com. Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Ed was born April 1, 1931, in Fort Atkinson, to the late William and Otilla (Barloon) Kuhn. He married the mother of his 10 children and partner of 46 years, Lugene (Nulty) Kuhn, Nov. 4, 1950. In 1962, Ed started working with the JR Watkins Company, and then in 1968, Watkins moved the Kuhn family to Winona where Ed was the feed division area manager. Ed was a successful member of the Presidents Club which took Ed and Lugene on many trips around the world. He was a devoted salesman to Watkins; he sold the products up to the day he died. Ed was a devoted family man. His life was based around his family; they enjoyed camping, fishing and softball games. He was a huge Twins fan. He was a devoted Catholic and made sure his family was in church every Sunday no matter what town they were in. You would find Ed every summer up in Breezy Point Resort where many family memories were made. In recent years, he enjoyed his winter months in Scottsdale, Ariz. He loved his family very much and he tried to attend any family event that he could, no matter where it was.

Ed is survived by his wife of 15 years, Marge Kuhn; children: Karen (Ron) Arends of Reinbeck; Gary (Marion) Kuhn of Decorah; Linda (Gene) Gabrych of Winona, Minn.; Wanda Kuhn of Brainerd, Minn.; Cheryl Ellefson of Winona, Minn.; Denise (John) Hazuka of Kasson, Minn.; Betty (Butch) Niver of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Ron (Shari) Kuhn of White Bear Lake, Minn.; Irene (Wayne) Sing of Fountain City, Wis.; and Brenda Kuhn of Scottsdale, Ariz. Ed was so proud of all of his grandchildren: Travis, Jennifer, Jason, Joni, Jaci, Melissa, Megan, Rebecca, Matt, Andrea, Jonnise, Elizabeth, Bridget, Jessica and Mindy. He also loved and was involved with all 16 great-grandchildren, his present wife Marge's extended family and his many nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his late wife, Lugene Kuhn; both of his parents; brother, Clarence Kuhn; sister, Clara Ehler; and daughter-in-law, Gloria Kuhn.
