A Danish Nobleman Dies at Decorah.
Waukon Democrat:
There died in Decorah last week and was buried from the United Lutheran church on Saturday a Danish nobleman by the name Ludwig B. Brahe. The deceased was a man of unusual education, being able to converse in several languages fluently, and could trace his linage direct to the celebrated Danish astronomer and astrologer of the sixteenth century, Sycho Brahe, and in his native land could bear the title of Baron. Mr. Brahe came to America eleven years ago, and being compelled to obtain a livlihood followed the occupation of creamery building. A widow and one son, with two daughters in Denmark, survive him. The cause of his death was a compilation of heart difficulty and blood poison. Last summer a slight wound on one of his hands developed into the latter disease, and he never recovered from it. He came to Decorah only a short time ago, hoping that under the watchful care of his wife and relatives he might regain his health. He was about forty years of age.
