Johan Ask,63, of Decorah, died Oct. 26, 1990, at his home.

Committal services are Friday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at Freeport Cemetery, with Pastor James M. Glesne officiating. Fjelstul Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and there is no visitation.

He was born March 7, 1927, at Haugesund, Norway, the son of Johan and Beate (Vold) Ask. He married Anne-Marie Grimstvedt April 1, 1953, at Haugesund,Norway, and she died in 1978.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway.

He is survived by five children, Marie (Mrs. Steve) Bernhard of Freeport, Ill., Elizabeth (Mrs. Gene) Whannel of Cincinnati, Ohio, Susan Ask of Lawrence, Kans., Thomas Ask of Waverly, N.Y., and Bernard Ask of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren; four brothers, Alf Ask, Paul Ask and Bjarne Ask, all of Norway, and Oivend Ask of Switzerland; and one sister, Hedda Ask of Norway.
