Funeral services for Mrs. Garvin Rue, 57, Ossian housewife, are being held today, Nov. 27, at Lincoln Lutheran Church.

She died Friday, Nov. 24 at Smith Memorial Hospital, Decorah.

The body is lying in state from 1 until 2 p.m. The Rev. Peter Swiggum is conducting the services.

Steine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Roland Danielson is organist and Russel Bakken is solist.

The pallbearers are Richard Blaess, Jr., Darrell Blaess, Jerry Albertson, Harlynn Hovden, Mike Blaess and Don Blaess.

Judy Blaess and Linde Rue are the floral committee.

Ruth M. Blomgren was born to Carl J. and Mabel B. Blomgren, Nov. 25, 1909, in Bluffton Township. She was educated in the rural schools.

Feb. 2, 1927, she was married to Roy Koch. Mr. Koch died in 1960. Jan. 5, 1963, she was married to Garvin Rue at Ridgeway.

Her second husband, one brother, and 12 sisters survive. Her brother is Carl Blomgren, Lake City, Minn.

The sisters are: Mrs.Joe Albertson, Ridgeway; Mrs. Mervin Anderson, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Herbert Albertson, Burr Oak; Mrs. Richard Blaess, Burr Oak; Mrs. Jerry Eindenshinck, Cresco; and Cora Eiler, Portland, Ore.

Mrs. Edward Ratzloff, McCune, Kan.; Mrs. Robert Frisch, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Elwood Olson, Albert Lea, Minn.; Mrs. Lynnferd Hovden, Burr Oak; Mrs. Opal Blaess, Decorah; and Mrs. Manford Anderson, Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one brother, and one sister.

She spent most of her life in the Ossian area, and she was a member of the Lincoln Lutheran Church.
