Postville, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Martha M. Schweinefus, 77, of Castalia, who died in Iowa City Wednesday, after a month's illness, were held in Castalia Saturday, with the Rev. Mr. Adix, pastor of the Lutheran church, Luana, officiating.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Arndt, she was born at Garnavillo, Ia., March 24, 1868, and was married to Chris Schweinefus. She is survived by four sons, Charles, of Oelwein, Henry, of Clermont, Emil, of Castalia, and a son in Dakota. She was preceded by her husband and two daughters.
