Death of Lewis Erickson

Lewis Erickson passed away at his home about a mile north of Decorah yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock, death being due to consumption.

The deceased was born in Canoe township, July 2, 1880. About ten years ago he settled in Decorah and operated a restaurant for three years in partnership with his cousin in the John Asseln building. After the firm sold out Mr. Erickson moved back to the country. Last fall he purchased the Geo. W. Higgins place just a mile north of Decorah, where the family home has since been.

He was united in marriage on June 20, 1906 to Miss Anna Johnson, and three daughters were born to the union, who with the bereaved wife and mother survive. He is also survived by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Mr. Erickson was one of the highly respected and well known young men of the county, and his death brings sorrow to many friends and the sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved relatives.

The funeral services will be held Friday, at one o'clock from the home and two o'clock from the N.E.L. church in Decorah, Rev. Seehuus officiating with interment in the Norwegian cemetery.
