Glen Sorenson dies March 2

Funeral services for Glen R. Sorenson, 71, a retired area farmer, are today (Tuesday) March 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Sensor-French Funeral Home in Decorah.

Mr. Sorenson died on Friday, March 2 at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines following a lingering illness.

Rev. James Jensen is conducting the services with burial at Phelps Cemetery. Alan Sensor is organist, accompanying congregational singing. Sensor-French Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Glen Sorenson was born May 18, 1912 in Pleasant Township to the late Lars and Ida (Lien) Sorenson. He was educated in rural schools and served for three years overseas in the U.S. Army. He had farmed in Pleasant Township and was a member of the Canoe Ridge Lutheran Church and the V.F.W.

He is survived by three brothers, Leonard and Willard of Decorah and Edwin of Grants Pass, Oregon; and a sister Mrs. Thomas (Myrtle) Philips of Decorah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
