Bessie Clark was born Jan. 12, 1889, at Castalia, Iowa, and passed away at the home of her parents on Tuesday night, Aug. 18, 1915, aged 26 years, 7 months and 6 days. Her whole life was spent in this vicinity, where she became acquainted with Ernest Allen and on April 8, 1908, they were united in marriage. To this union were born four children - Margureite, Eleanor, Ronald and a baby daughter which preceded her in death two years ago. She also leaves two step-children, Lucile and Verne; a father, mother, and one sister, Mrs. Roy Allen, and innumerable friends to mourn her loss. The funeral was held at the home of her parents Friday at one o'clock, Rev. Hurah conducting the service. She was laid to rest in the cemetery at Centennial church.
