Ole H. Rorum, who was employed on the farm of C. O. Bleckeberg in Madison township, died this week Monday from extreme heat. He had been out in the field and helped put on one load of hay, and it being so warm they decided not to load any more hay until in the afternoon. While the horses were being put away, Mr. Rorum went, to feed the pigs and while doing so dropped to the ground, death resulting a few minutes after he was found, Mr, Rorum was called at dinner time, but when he did not come in right away nothing unusual was thought of, as he was in the habit of finishing his work before he came to meals, so he was not discovered until after dinner. Medical aid was summoned at once, but he was dead within a few minutes after he had been found stricken with the heat. He has been a resident of this county two or three years and had taken out naturalization papers. The funeral was held from the Madison church and interment was in the church cemetery.—Ridgeway Review
