Frederick C. Shelhamer

Funeral services were held for Frederick C. Shelhamer, 91, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 1980 at the United Methodist Church in Sun Prairie, Wis. The Rev. Hilbert Lohr officiated in the service with burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, Madison, Wis.

Mr. Shelhamer, a retired electrician who resided at Route 1, Sun Prairie, Wis., died Monday, June 9, 1980 in a Madison hospital. He was born March 19, 1889 in Frankville and married Ethel Thornton in Cresco, Iowa March 17, 1923. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this spring. For the past 15 years, they wintered in St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. Shelhamer was a member of the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church for 40 years and an Army veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Loren of Sun Prairie and Gordon of Stoughton, Wis.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Anderson, Madison, Wis. and Mrs. George Parks, Cottage Grove, Wis.; 2 sisters, Clara Bernhard, Monona and Helen Machula, Cedar Rapids; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
