Alida Ask

Alida Grace Gilbertson Ask, 91, passed away March 7, 2012, at Guardian Angels Nursing Home in Elk River, Minn. Funeral and celebration of Alida’s life is Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at The Madison Lutheran Church, Ridgeway. We are comforted to know that she is at peace and in the Lord’s arms now and forever. She was born July 30, 1920, in Madison Township, Decorah. She graduated from Decorah High School in 1937, and married Ralph Ask the same year. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Minn. Her faith meant a great deal to her.

She is survived by her children: Arlan (Mary), Peter (Elaine), Gary (Linda), Rodney (Jan), Shirley (Charles), Randy, Laurel (Robert) and Lauren; and numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph and two sons, Donald and Dean.
