Postville Review, Sat., 16 June 1894.
The same fireman that was firing when Engineer Shefronik was killed, near Postville, was killed in a wreck near Decorah, last Monday. The engine left the track on a sharp curve, the fireman jumping, but it is supposed he did not jump far enough to clear the freight car that was behind the tender, and was drawn under it and almost instantly killed. His name was Tim Cronin, his age was about 35, and was unmarried. The engineer remained on his engine and was uninjured though the engine was badly wrecked. It was a passenger train, going north, and it is fortunate that no more were injured.
