Terry Ehler
Terry Ehler, 44, passed away in an automobile accident Sept. 5, 2012.
Terry was born Dec. 29, 1967, the son of Edmund and Sylvia (Hageman) Ehler in Decorah. He graduated from South Winneshiek High School in 1986, and from the University of Northern Iowa in 1989. Terry married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie (Uhlenhake) at St. Francis De Sales Church in Ossian Sept. 2, 1989. Their union was blessed with two sons, Andrew and Adam.
Terry was a senior I.T. analyst at Principal Financial in Des Moines. He also was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. A devoted father and husband, Terry enjoyed watching his children’s sporting events, spending time with his family, watching movies and Star Trek reruns with his boys.
Terry is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children Andrew, 13, and Adam, 8, of Urbandale; his mother, Sylvia, of Calmar; brothers Kenneth, of Calmar and Larry of St. Olaf; and sisters Theresa (Loren) Schmitt of Calmar, and Marianne Ehler, of Edina, Minn.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Edmund; sister-in-law, Audrey Ehler; and parents-in-law, Cletus and Mildred Uhlenhake.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Andrew and Adam’s col-{remainder of obituary was omitted}

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3663 66th Street Urbandale, IA 50322. Burial will be held 5 p.m., Monday in St. Mary's Cemetery- Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church at Festina, Iowa.

The family will greet friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3663 66th Street Urbandale, IA 50322, with a Vigil Service at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions may be made to them or for Andrew and Adam's College Funds.
