Kelly Foss
Kelly Foss, 81, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Services were at 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Reverend Kevin Deckard, associate pastor at Polk St. Unity Methodist Church, officiating. Burial followed at the Claude Cemetery. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Mr. Foss was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Calmar, to Henry and Alice Foss. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Foss was a dispatcher for the Department of Public Safety for 10 years, a radio broadcaster for KDJW Radio for five years and for News Channel 7; and he also was Potter County deputy. He was a member of Polk St. United Methodist Church, 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Panhandle Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the Khiva Shrine.
Survivors include a son, Dale Foss of Georgetown; a daughter, Tammy Foss of Amarillo and a daughter, Michelle Lightfoot of Temple.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Foss.
