Funeral services for Mrs. Alfred Ramstad, who passed away Saturday at her home in Madison twp., will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home and at 2:00 o’clock at the Madison Lutheran church, with the pastor Rev. M. B. Quill officiating. Burial will be made in the Madison cemetery. Mrs. Ramstad, nee Helen Engen, daughter of the late Soren and Bergitta Engen was born Oct. 26, 1892. She was baptized and confirmed in the Madison Lutheran church. Jan 30, 1926, she was united in marriage with Alfred Ramstad. To this union four children were born: Olive, Arthur, Stanley and Doris, who with the husband and father survive. She passed away at her home Feb. 24, 1940, following a lingering illness of three years duration. Besides her family she leaves to mourn her departure five brothers, Olavus, Allert, Bennie and Hans of Madison township and Charles of Decorah, also numerous other relatives and friends. Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Much sympathy is extended to the family in the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother.
