Christen, Lunde

Funeral services for Christen Lunde, who passed away Wednesday were held at the Madison Lutheran church Friday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. M. B. Quill officiating. Interment was in the Madison cemetery.

Christen Lunde was born in Telemark, Norway, May 31, 1872. He was baptized and confirmed there and came to this country with his parents Nels and Kari (now deceased) in the year 1890, at the age of 18 years. He passed away at the Decorah hospital December 27th, 1944, at the age of 72 years and 7 months.

He is survived by two brothers, Chas. Lunde, Esmond, N. D., and Carl Lunde of Silva, N. D., and three sisters, (Tome) Mrs. Henning Lysne, Esmond, N. D.; (Severing) Mrs. Gerhard Funglem, Anita, N. D.; (Louise) Mrs. Theo. Kjos, of Ridgeway; one half sister, Lena Melaas, Colo.; also 39 nephews and nieces. One brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Among those attending the funeral services were Charley Lunde and Mr. and Mrs. Henning Lysne of Esmond, N. D.
