John Henry

Funeral services for John Henry of Bluffton, who died at the Decorah hospital Thursday were held at St. Bridget’s Catholic church at Bluffton Monday morning. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Mr. Henry, son of John and Ellen Henry, was born in Canoe township on July 26, 1869. He was united in marriage to Miss Catherine Sexton and they made their home on a farm in Bluffton where they have resided since. Mr. Henry has been one of the directors of the Farmers State Bank of Ridgeway since its organization in 1932. Besides his wife, he is survived by seven sons, John L., Orvin, Paul, Herbert, Charles and Gerald of Bluffton and Vincent of Decorah township, one daughter, Miss Mary Henry and three brothers, Miles Henry of Cresco, Thomas Henry and James Henry of Bluffton. Two sisters, Mrs. Pat Courtney and Ellen Henry preceded him in death. Much sympathy is extended to the family in their loss.
