Funeral services for Mrs. Claus Espeseth, who passed away at her home in Decorah Tuesday were held at the John Doerr home in Decorah at 1:00 o’clock and at the Lincoln church at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon. Rev. M. B. Quill officiated at the services at the church and interment was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

The pall bearers were Norman Wemark, Leonard Wemark, Ted Olson (Spring Valley), Archie Anderson, Orville Anderson and Conrad Hjanland. Robert Lee sang hymns at the service accompanied by Miss Speratti at the piano.

Mrs. Espeseth, nee Gunild Wemark, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ole Wemark was born in Lincoln township Nov. 2, 1866. After her marriage to Mr. Espeseth on Dec. 2, 1895, they made their home on a farm in Sumner township before moving to Decorah about 34 years ago.

Among those from a distance attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Archie Anderson and sons of Delaware, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. George Lomen and daughter Adelaide of Northfield; Mrs. Adolph Stenseth of Crookston, Minn.; Mrs. Tilda Bakken and son Arnold and daughter Gladys of Waubun, Minn.; Mrs. Louise Rue and daughter Gladys of Audubon, Minn.
