Mrs. Peter Blekeberg

Mrs. Peter Blekeberg a long time resident of Madison township, died at her home Sunday. Funeral arrangements were not complete on Monday morning, but the services will be held at the Madison Lutheran church with the pastor, Rev. M. B. Quill, officiating. Interment will be made in the Madison cemetery.

Mrs. Blekeberg, nee Sophia Aasland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Aasland, was born in Madison township on Dec. 9, 1876. She grew to young womanhood there and on June 17, 1896, she was united in marriage to Peter O. Blekeberg. All their married life was spent in Madison township, except about a year when they resided in North Dakota.

Mrs. Blekeberg is survived by her husband, six sons, Otto Blekeberg of Rugby, N. D.; Gilbert Blekeberg of Decorah; Benjamin, Spencer, Laurence and Arnold Blekeberg at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Lien and Mrs. Wallace Holverson, both of Decorah, three brothers, Oluf Benson and Gilbert Benson, both of Bucanan, N. D., and Louis Benson of Madison township, and three sisters, Mrs. Carl Larson of Jamestown, N. D., Mrs. Henry Holverson of Fergus Falls, Minn., and Mrs. Albert Vine of Madison township, one half sister, Mrs. Mary Vining of Los Angeles, Calif., and one half brother, Olavus Benson of Crookston, Minn.

Mrs. Blekeberg had a large circle of friends who are sorry to learn of her death. The deepest sympathy is extended to the family who mourn her departure.
