Services held for Marcella Smorstad

Funeral services for Marcella E. Smorstad, 73, of Waterloo, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 1997, at the Kearns-Huisman-Schumacher Chapel On Kimball. Interment was in Garden of Memories Cemetery with The Kearns-Huisman-Schumacher Chapel On Kimball in charge of arrangements.

She died Thursday, February 27, 1997, at Ravenwood Health Care Center of cancer.

Marcella E. Smorstad was born March 18, 1923, in Decorah the daughter of Amund of{sic} Olga Holverson Blakeberg.

She married Orville H. Smorstad on October 28, 1951, in Ridgeway. She was a machinist at Chamberlains Manufacturing.

She is survived by two brothers, Oren and Wallace Blekeberg of Ridgeway.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and one sister, Hazel Herman.
