Services held for Willie Moen, 91

Funeral services for Willie Moen of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Decorah were held October 27 at the Glenwood Lutheran Church, rural Decorah with Rev. Susan Debner officiating. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery. French and Balik Funeral Home handled the arrangement.

Willie, 91, died Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.

He is survived by his wife Ruth of Cedar Rapids; three daughters: Janet Brooks of Omaha, NE, Sharon Moen of Cedar Rapids, and Karen Taylor also of Cedar Rapids; five sisters: Amy Buddenberg of Mesa, AZ, Agnes Ginapp of Decorah, Jean Colburn of Poulsbo, WA, Angeline Bacon of Mabel, MN, and Marcella Opfer of Waukon; and two brothers: Leo of Decorah and Walter of Henderson, NE.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Gladys and Lillian; and one brother: Elmer.
