Services held for Celia Mihm

Funeral services for Celia Mihm of St. Lucas were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 1997, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in St. Lucas. Rev. Msgr. Leander Reicks and Rev. Clarence Frana officiated. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery at Ft. Atkinson with Chekal Funeral in charge of arrangements.

She died Monday, January 20, 1997, at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah.

Celia (Frana) Mihm was born October 29, 1906, in Calmar, the daughter of Vaclar and Josephine (Matousek) Frana.

On February 5, 1929, she was married to William Doubek at St. Wenceslaus Church in Spillville. He died August 11, 1951.

On June 5, 1954 Celia married William Mihm at St. John’s Church in Ft. Atkinson. He died August 24, 1970.

Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Klimesh and Betty Wiest, both of Fort Atkinson; and Blanche Jirak of Protivin; two step-sons, Merinus and Donald Mihm of St Lucas; three step-daughters, Alice Rachu of Ft. Atkinson; Bernadine Dietzenback of St. Lucas; and Alfreda Koshatka of Protivin; 12 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchildren{sic}; and one sister, Lydia Hruska of Spillville.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands; two great-granddaughters; her parents; five brothers, Steven, William, Henry, Frank and James Frana; and three sisters, Ann Scheidel, Christine Pecinovsky; and Betty Cisler.
