Frieberg services held Sunday

Funeral services were held for Iona Frieberg Sunday, August 17, at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Barbara Finley-Shea officiating. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.

Iona Frieberg of Waterloo, age 81, died on Friday, August 15, 1997 at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Iona was born on May 6, 1916 in Ossian. On January 17, 1934, she was united in marriage to Ralph Robert Frieberg in Charles City. Iona received her degree in nursing and dedicated her life to helping others. She retired in 1979.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ralph, on May 24, 1978; six brothers; and two sisters.
