Services held for Roger Christians, 72

Funeral services for Roger Earl Christians, 72, of Mountain Home, AR, were held Friday, March 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home with the Rev. N. Wayne Clark and Rev. Cathy Estes officiating, and Military Honors by NCAVC, American Legion-Alley White Post #52.

Roger died at his home on March 23, 1998.

He was born on May 18, 1925 in Ridgeway, the son of Emil and Olene (Hovey) Christians.

On August 15, 1970 Roger married Mildred Ruble in Cresco. He was an owner/operator of Chrysler Dealership-Christians Sales and Service; and also a Professor of Automotive at the University of South Dakota in Springfield, SD.

Roger joined the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and also of the following groups: Twin Lakes Gun Club; National Rifle Association; American Legion- Alley-White Post #52, VFW Post #3246; Military Order of the Purple Heart; and Disabled American Veterans Chapter #30.

Survivors include his wife, Millie; one step son, Michael Davis of Primghar; one step daughter, Cynthia Davis of Orange, CA; four step-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Moe of Winter Haven, FL;

Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
